The reason people have wrinkles is because of the aging process, which is inevitable. True there are a lot of anti-wrinkle treatments out there, featuring various creams and lotions that have claims to be able to reverse aging or erase your wrinkles once and for all. There are indeed a few of them that come quite close even to achieving such feats, but for the most part these are bogus claims that you should disregard.

The best way to treat your wrinkles is through a healthy lifestyle, one that promotes cell growth in your body and delays the development of wrinkles on your face and hands – and indeed all over your body. Without a healthy lifestyle, all of your facial treatments and skincare creams and lotions may give you impressive results, but the results are doomed to not last. If you desire lasting effects from your anti-wrinkle treatment, what you need is to treat your wrinkles with a healthy lifestyle. Anything short of that simple will not suffice.

The first part of your anti-wrinkle lifestyle needs to be your diet. Many people believe that they are free to eat whatever they like, but this is not true. Just like regular poisons, various foods have various effects on your body, and just because they are not killing you right away do not mean that their effects are not there. Every ingredient of a balanced diet has its functions, but foods that are particularly rich in vitamins should top your consumption list. Vegetables and fruit are great sources of vitamin A, which is good for your skin in more ways than one; and various fruits, especially citrus, are great sources of vitamin C or ascorbic acid, which is also great for cell growth and regeneration.

Do yourself a favor and try never to eat too much. Overeating places more stress on your body system that is difficult for it to manage. You may be surprised but this has been known to speed up the aging process and cause your skin to wrinkle.

It helps to watch your stress patterns. Anything that causes stress in you can cause you to worry and thereby upset the hormonal balance in your body. Whereas this may not seem like a big deal, it is a fact that over secretion of adrenal hormones can cause your blood to neglect your skin in its functions, leaving you more susceptible to disease. If however you are able to manage your stress properly, even move out to say, a less stressful area or job, you may find wrinkles all over your body clearing up all of a sudden because you are not frowning so much.

Exercise has never done anybody any harm; as a matter of fact, it has been proven to help with the functioning of your body system. When your blood pumps that much better, your system is better able to eject dead cells from your skin and the rest of your body, so that new cells can grow. More than that, a good workout helps to restore your endocrine balance so that anomalies that can worsen your wrinkling condition do not happen.

You really can treat your wrinkles with this kind of healthy lifestyle, but you have to be careful and make sure that all the elements are in place all the time. A single imbalance can upset the entire process, and you can find suddenly that your wrinkles are increasing all the time. However, if you are about to manage well enough, then your skin will always rejuvenate itself.
